The European qualifications for the Women’s U19 WFC 2020 were held from 11th – 15th September 2019 in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy at the Bella Italia EFA Village.  Lignano Sabbiadoro is a small town within the province of Udine, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of north-eastern Italy. It is located at the Adriatic Sea coast and is one of the main summer resorts in northern Italy.

The venue where the matches were played was Palazzetto dello Sport Bella Italia EFA Village. The venue has previously hosted important events such as the IWAS PowerChair Hockey World Championship in 2018 and the European Dodgeball Championships in 2018.  All teams stayed inside the village within walking distance of the venue.

Five teams competed in the event, with the two top teams qualifying for group C/D in the final round.

A total of 19 teams have registered for the 9th Women’s U19 WFC which will be hosted by Uppsala, Sweden from 6th – 10th May 2020. For the first time, the 16 teams will be divided into four groups in one division based on ranking and a ballot. Groups A/B and C/D are divided according to ranking (based on results from U19 WFC 2018) and a group ballot will be held after the qualification event to decide the final four groups.

Nine teams (all from Europe) are directly qualified based on results from U19 WFC 2018. Based on regional quotas, two teams from the Americas and three from Asia Oceania, including China who will be competing for the first time at this level, have also received direct qualification.
