Sweden secured a place in the semifinal when they beat Latvia 14-1 in the U19 WFC in Uppsala.

After 4-2 against Slovakia in the first game of the tournament yesterday, Sweden followed up with a new victory against Latvia. Although Latvia took the lead after ten minutes, Sweden turned the game around and after the first intermission they had scored twice.

The game looked a lot like when Sweden played Slovakia where the Swedes pushed forward and Latvia had a tight defence. But in the middle of the second period Sweden scored three times in just about one minute.

Sweden continued playing around and tried to find holes in Latvia´s defence wall. The goals kept coming and the final result was 14-1. Sweden´s Nora Parkle and Philippa Blom scored four goals each.

The players of the game were rewarded Latvia´s Anna Ankudinova and Sweden´s Nora Parkle.
