Czech Republic collected their second win when they beat their neighbours Slovakia.

Both teams had their pace set high coming into the second round in group B. After just 30 seconds Czech Republic scored their first goal by Vendula Maroszová. Slovakia wanted to prove themselves just as good and evened out the score just a couple of minutes later. Czech Republic then showed some proof of really good offence and despite some nice saves from Slovakia’s goalkeeper Pavlina Farulova, Czech Republic scored both 3-1 and 4-1.

After a calmer period of time, ten minutes into the second period Czech Republic found a decent flow and extended their lead three times in a row. In the third period they kept producing and scored another two goals before Slovakia got to score the last goal of the game. The result was thereby stated 10-2.

–  We were expecting a tougher game, but we scored a lot of goals which is good for us. We can be happy with our performance, says MVP for team Czech Republic Kateřina Seemannová
